NFPA Alt Fuel Safety First Responder Training - Pittsburgh Region

This one day workshop focuses on first responder safety when handling alternative fuel vehicles, such as electric, natural gas, and propane. Designed as a Train-the-Trainer course, participants will receive classroom training as well as have the opportunity to view demo alternative fuel vehicles.

Topics include:

• Introduction to electric, hybrid, gaseous fuel, and fuel cell vehicles

• Basic Electrical Concepts

• Vehicle Charging and Refuelling Infrastructure

• Initial Response Procedures

• Identification Methods, Immobilization, Disabling, Emergency Operations
